Filmmaker Bio

Ann Antidote (www.strangesavagelives.net) and Notorische Ruhestoerung (www.ruhestoerung.noblogs.org) are two DIY artists based in Berlin, active in the fields of performance, music, sound, video and more (both individually and in their work together). Their work is very much concerned with political topics (solidarity, accessibility, social struggles) and insists in being DIY (do-it-yourself) and collaborative and with that automatically ecologically sustainable and accessible. Both share, beyond common practices and ideas in aesthetics, the idea that art - as practice and as object - should be accessible to all, as bread, water, knowledge and many other things should be.
